Danny's mother must have realized that my window well was an extremely safe place for her to incubate her eggs, since I’m sitting at my desk all the time and willing and able to scare away any predators that comes looking for eggs or babies, and since I’m always putting peanuts on the window ledge, it’s an easy way for a new mother to get a meal without having to go too far from her nest.
