Marshall is a quiet, lonely young male who finally got fed up with being lonely and did what anyone else in his situation would do—he built a robot to keep himself company. Because he’s a sentimental sort of squirrel, he named the robot Betty, after his own recently-departed mother, who was also his closest and only friend. However, even though Marshall thinks Betty is perfect in every way, Betty does have a few design flaws that are limiting their adventures together—for one thing, she sucks at climbing trees. So for now, the two of them are spending most of their time together on the ground, just talking and eating nuts, looking at birds, and trying to figure out the next step in their relationship.
